Breaking Down Mass Trial
A mass trial in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a method of teaching where a single skill or target behavior is practiced in a repeated manner in a structured setting. This approach to learning helps people acquire new skills quickly through consistent repetition and reinforcement.
Example: This could be used in teaching a child to identify the color blue. The person teaching the skill may hold up a blue card multiple times in a row and prompt the child to say “blue” until their response becomes consistent.
